Global Citizenship Challenge Final Round Results Announcement!

The Global Citizenship Challenge is both pleased and proud to present the results of the final round of the Challenge. Six teams competed head-to-head by presenting their innovative approaches to help Merck and the pharmaceutical industry achieve the Millenium Development Goals through better public-private partnerships. The top three teams combined innovative thinking with careful analysis to impress the judges. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists!

- 1st Place - University of North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler)
- 2nd Place - George Washington University School of Business
- 3rd Place - Instituto de Empresa (Madrid)

Registration Deadline Extended to Friday!
As you've likely noticed, we have a remarkable panel of sponsors this year, spanning pharmaceuticals to the private race to space. We are excited you've decided to join with these companies in improving their global citizenship footprint.
A quick update on the process going forward: due to numerous requests, we have decided to extend the registration deadline for the Global Citizenship Challenge by 48 hours to February 17, 2006, 7:00 pm Arizona Time (9:00 pm EST, 6:00 pm PST). Teams will receive their Challenge statements by 9:00 pm, February 17, Arizona Time (11:00 pm EST, 8:00 pm PST). All other key dates, including the Concept Plan submission deadline and the Final Round remain unchanged.
We hope that you will join an international community of over 200 students from over 30 of the world's top schools who are committed to using their creativity and business skills to build sustainable world prosperity. We're excited to kick off the Challenge with you.

Kopali Organics is Bringing the Bus to the Final Round!

Kopali Organics is a fair commerce, organic, specialty food company that produces, markets and distributes traditional gourmet products to improve the food we eat, the life of the farmers who grow it and the planet we share.
They will be bringing their bus and sponsoring a party with music, organic food, puppet shows, and information on their products and a sustainable lifestyle.

Welcome to the Global Citizenship Challenge!
We are now open for registration! It took us some time but we are very excited about the upcoming competition and the wonderful group of partners and sponsors who have signed on (Merck, Johnson & Johnson, XPrize Foundation and Net Impact).
Start organizing your teams, register and spread the word! Registration closes February 15.
Judge registration will open early next week...we will send an email campaign on Monday inviting judges to register.
